India top 10 engineering institutes as per Times Higher Education ranking 2018

Times Higher Education has released the 2018 subject-based university rankings for chemical, mechanical, civil, electical and general engineering subjects. Here are the top ten indian institutions in engineering: 10. National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela has made it among the top 10 and has been ranked in the 401-500 band.

9.Jadavpur University

In the ninth position is Jadavpur which has secured a rank in the 401 to 500 band along with NIT Rourkela and Tezpur University.

8.Indian Insititute of Technology Roorkee

The Indian Insititute of Technology Roorkee (IIT-R) has bagged the eigth position among Indian institutions for engineering and has secured its place in the 301 to 400 rank band for the subject.

7.Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee

Coming up in seventh place is the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. It has secures its place in the 251 to 300 rank band.

6.Indian Institute of Technology Madras

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) has landed in the 251 to 300 rank band along with IIT-R, securing the sixth position.

5.Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur

In the fifth position for engineering among Indian institutions is the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.

4.Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur

The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur takes on the fourth position among India's best institutions for engineering.

3.Indian Institute of Technology Delhi

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has landed among the top three Indian institutions for engineering. It falls in the 201 to 250 global rank band along with IIT Kanpur and IIT Kharagpur.

2.Indian Insititute of Technology Bombay

Appering among the top 200 institutions in the world for engineering, the Indian Insititute of Technology Bombay is the second best such institute in India. It has secured its global rank in the 126-150 band.

1.Indian Institute of Science Bangalore

The only Indian institutions to appear among the global top 100 for engineering subjects is the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore. IISc has landed in the topmost position among Indian institutes for the subject and has bagged rank 89 in the global ranking.
